Brett Domino with Steven Peavis: Justin Timberlake Medley
Stylophones, sequencing, iphone drum machine apps, shakers, theremin, cowbells, kazoos, ukelele, recorders and deadpan Yorkshire delivery. Absolutely bloody brilliant.
About
'It's that on the surface it says that "the internet is a new form of democracy". So what you're seeing is a new pluralism, a new collage, a new mosaic of all sorts of different ideas that's genuinely representative. But if you analyse what happens, it simplifies things. [Those in social media] are parasitic upon already existing sources of information - they do little research of their own.'What then happens is this idea of the 'hive mind', instead of leading to a new plurality or a new richness, leads to a growing simplicity. Far from being "the wisdom of crowds", it's the stupidity of crowds. Collectively what we are doing is creating a more simplified world.'

OK GO: This Too Shall Pass (RGM Version).
This is without doubt the most incredible music video of all time ever.

A stop-motion animation created with a digital still camera.
On the subject of Megan Washington, her song Clementine provides the soundtrack to Keith Loutit’s work in tilt-shift, Bathtub IV, which has previously had an airing in the distant past of undercreative, but on account of its brilliance deserves a dusting off and re-airring. If you aren’t familiar with it, it’s a great piece of camera-trickery that makes everything look like it’s teeny-tiny. I’m pleased to see it’s been picked up by Futureshorts, which now has a youtube channel, for all your short film needs.
This is hypnotic.
Quite exquisite study of a carousel, by Cesar. The carousel itself, Le Manege Carre Senart, is completely custom built, featuring “3 giant buffalos, 4climbing insects, 10 insects on rail, 3 fish heads, and some other poetic and dreamy jokes”, and is interactive with its riders. Perhaps most unusually, it is square, rather than circular.
